Resurgent FineArts Artist

Gautam Bansal

Bengaluru, India / Charcoal and pastels on archival paper

Gautam Bansal is a Bengaluru-based charcoal and pastel artist whose works explore stillness, motion, instinct, rhythm, and flow.

Intro of Artist

Gautam Bansal is a Bengaluru-based artist whose creative journey spans over two decades of working with charcoal. His practice explores the balance between stillness and motion, clarity and blur, vulnerability and strength.

Expressions of Artist

My work with charcoal has evolved around a central curiosity: the invisible forces that animate life and movement. Animals, dancers, waves and landscapes appear often because they reveal energy vividly. Charcoal allows each stroke to become a gesture of movement and each smudge to hold the trace of energy passing through the surface.

Theme / medium / style / niche

Charcoal and pastel artworks are sealed with Winsor & Newton Professional Fixative for protection against smudges, dust and moisture.
