Description
This painting, titled “The Burden of Expectations,” explores the invisible weight of responsibilities and expectations carried by an individual. The woman appears calm on the outside, yet the heavy arrangement of earthen pots above her head symbolizes the many roles, duties, and expectations placed upon her. The pots represent the different responsibilities she carries while continuing to move forward with strength and dignity. The branches and leaves suggest growth, resilience, and the constant effort to find balance in life. The vibrant colours create a contrast between external beauty and the emotional weight hidden within. Through this painting, I have tried to express how society’s expectations can become a burden, while inner strength allows us to carry them with grace and continue our journey.
